Blueberry Sorbet Recipe

Nothing to quench your summer sweet tooth on a hot day, like this homemade blueberry sorbet recipe! This recipe combines frozen blueberries, strawberries, and lemonade Crystal Light, so it’s also dairy free, vegan and incredibly low calorie! I used a Magic Bullet in my mom’s kitchen to blend all the ingredients together and then froze the mixture for around 2 hours until it reached a sorbet consistency.  Easy, tasty, and refreshing on a hot summer day!

If you don’t believe in artificial sweeteners like those used in Crystal Light, then you can also use all-natural juice like Apple juice, or even substitute with water and 3 teaspoons of cane sugar for the liquid part of the sorbet. Blueberries and strawberries are two of my favorite fruits when combined in a smoothie, a sorbet, and especially in a pie, tart, or a crumble.

If you are making this sorbet and you have fresh blueberries and strawberries, (because they are in season), then you can definitely use those. For another great sorbet recipe, see this one for Watermelon Sorbet by Rachael Ray.
