Nutella Ice Cream Recipe

This Nutella Ice Cream Recipe is my first venture into creamy frozen treats! So as most of you may know I recently got married, and we received so many wonderful wedding gifts- it was truly a magnificent “sprucing-up time” for my kitchen.  One of my favorite gifts was the Cuisinart Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker.  This kitchen gadget can make a variety of delicious frozen treats, and can also make some extraordinary sauces.  To use, all you do is prepare the ingredients for the recipe, then chill the mixture in the refrigerator for around 2 hours (or overnight), and then add the mix to the ice cream maker, which prepares it for 15-20 minutes. After it is mixed up in there thoroughly, all you have to do is freeze the ice cream in the freezer until solid! I am looking forward to using this wonderful machine all winter long (because let’s face it, Ice Cream is really a winter food!).  Even when I lived in Finland, the Finns would eat freezing cold ice cream all winter long.

Nutella Ice Cream Recipe

Yield: 1 pint

Nutella Ice Cream Recipe

This Nutella Ice Cream recipe is smooth, creamy, and extra chocolatey!


1/2 cup milk (whole or 2% works best, but skim is also good)
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup granulated sugar
5 tablespoons Nutella
Pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Whip Heavy cream for about 2 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add sugar, milk, Nutella, Salt, and Vanilla extract.
  3. Pour into container for electric ice cream maker and churn into a creamy texture (process takes around 20 minutes)
  4. Freeze for around 4 hours for extra firm texture.
  5. Makes 1 pint.


Garnish with nuts, chocolate syrup, or a mint leaf.

    all the dairy. Tripling it came to just short of a quart. It worked beautifully and makes my husband and I very

    happy since we’re getting fat. 🙂
