Asian Fried Rice Recipe

6 cups precooked plain white rice (medium or long grain)
1 medium onion diced
4 large stalks green onion, diced
3 large carrots, diced into small pieces
1 cup frozen peas (defrosted)
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
4 eggs
3 tablespoons Sesame Oil
1/4 cup soy sauce (Low sodium is fine to use) or Tamari Sauce, if you are Soy-Free.

  1. Precook the rice on the stove top or using a rice cooker. I set this aside overnight, but you can also use it right after cooking to make the Fried rice.
  2. Sautee the onions, green onions, carrots, and peas in a medium saucepan with some olive oil and 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil and salt and pepper.
  3. Once veggies are cooked, add the mixture to the rice and stir well.
  4. Add Soy Sauce or Tamari sauce a little at a time, until your preferred level of seasoning is achieved.
  5. Add additional 2 Tablespoons of Sesame Oil to rice mixture,
  6. In another pan, lightly scramble the 4 eggs, until they are just barely cooked (you don't want to overcook them so that they won't mix or chop in well with the rice.
  7. Add eggs to the rice mixture.
  8. Serve at your next party or gathering, or as a quick weeknight meal!
